fragrant olive

fragrant olive -
night replaced day
gently

original haiku "木犀もくせいや しずかに昼夜ちゅうや れかわる" (converted to modern orthography)
composed by OKAI Shozo (1925-2001)
roughly translated by the blog owner

Today, I'd like to introduce my own haiku on the theme of "fragrant olive".

fragrant olive
smelled everywhere
on the way home

English version is original, which is translated back to Japanese haiku as below;

"金木犀きんもくせい あちこちでかえみち"
